Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor discussed how hungry this version of the team is to get on the field and pursue that elusive Super Bowl title.
Cincinnati opens training camp today with a group “ready to fire out.”
“These guys are in the starting blocks ready to fire out. And that’s just the sense you get around being around these guys is just they’re ready,” Taylor said.
“You really felt that since the spring. … These guys want to start going now, you know, and start playing these games, and you don’t take that for granted because that’s not always the case. You know, in the years I’ve coached, you don’t always feel that, this is one of those years. I certainly feel like these guys are ready to go.”
A healthy Joe Burrow could breed great early results for a Bengals team that should be fighting for the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs all season.
They came very close to it last season, hammering home how there is no room for bad losses like the Week One defeat handed down by the Steelers. They are favored in nearly every game this season outside of the trip to Kansas City later in the campaign.
