New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers sent Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love a message this week that the young quarterback will certainly never forget.
Rodgers, who spent three seasons as Love’s teammate before getting traded to the Jets this offseason, sent Love a message the night before Green Bay’s training camp opened.
According to Love, the message said “Be yourself, have fun, and enjoy it”.
Rodgers has been very supportive of Love throughout this entire ordeal (the off-season drama between the Packers and Rodgers that felt like it would never end).
Jordan Love said he got a text message from Aaron Rodgers last night in the eve of his first training camp as the #Packers’ QB.
He said Rodgers wrote: “Be yourself, have fun and enjoy it.”

Of course, Rodgers should know better than anyone how to handle the relationship between a future Hall of Famer and a first-round pick who was forced to sit on the bench for three seasons — it’s the exact situation that Rodgers was in with Brett Favre over a decade ago.
Fortunately for Love, it appears that Rodgers, surprisingly, handled the situation much better than Favre did many years ago.
