National media outlet names the most underrated player on Bengals' roster

Pro Football Focus recently named the most underrated player on each NFL roster.

And they went with a choice for the Cincinnati Bengals that some folks didn’t expect to be on the roster this fall.

I guess that’s why he’s described as underrated.

PFF chose linebacker Germaine Pratt as Cincinnati’s most underrated player.

From PFF: Out of 54 linebackers who saw at least 600 snaps last season, Pratt ranked 11th in terms of overall grade.

Pratt especially excelled in coverage, where his 87.3 grade ranked third among linebackers and the 71.7 percent completion percentage he allowed into his coverage ranked sixth-best.

Pratt was scheduled to hit free agency this offseason, but the Bengals re-signed the North Carolina native to a three-year deal worth $21 million.

The former NC State standout had a solid 2022 season for the Bengals, totaling a career-high 99 tackles and two interceptions.

Pratt also had one of the top moments in Bengals playoff history in early 2022 when he helped end Cincinnati’s long playoff losing streak.
