Vanessa Bryant’s dog Crucio licks her tears… after judge rules her invasion of privacy trial can move forward

Vanessa Bryant’s 11-year-old Black Labrador Retriever Crucio tried to make her feel better on Tuesday night. The 39-year-old widow of NBA star Kobe Bryant – who boasts 15.3M Instagram followers – captioned her video: ‘Crucio (always tries to lick my tears).’

Vanessa was wearing false lashes in bed as she cuddled her canine companion. The late, great basketballer ‘loved’ Crucio, even posting an Instagram snap of the dog swimming in their pool back in 2013.

Crucio loves pool toys and, that same year, Bryant shared an Instagram snap of Kobe inflating a lifesaver while laid up after his Achilles tendon surgery.

January 26 will mark the somber second anniversary of the death of Bryant and their daughter Gianna Maria-Onore – age 41 and 13 – during a helicopter crash in Calabasas.

Last week, a federal judge denied Los Angeles County’s bid for a summary judgment in Vanessa’s invasion of privacy lawsuit over photos of her family’s remains, meaning the case will now go to trial.

The Orange County native believes 20 people (including deputies and firefighters) illegally obtained copies of photos from the crash site despite being assured by the county that they had been deleted.

‘For the rest of my life, one of two things will happen,’ Vanessa said in legal documents. ‘Either close-up photos of my husband’s and daughter’s bodies will go viral online, or I will continue to live in fear of that happening.’

The retired LA Laker is survived by three daughters – Natalia Diamante, 18; Bianka Bella, 5; Capri Kobe, 2 – who rang in the new year with their mother at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in WY.

The high school sweethearts were married for an impressive 19 years, despite Vanessa filing for divorce in 2011 and withdrawing the legal docs in 2013.
