Vanessa Bryant Shares That Natalia Bryant Attended Her Senior Prom The Night Of Kobe’s Induction Into The Basketball Hall Of Fame

Over the weekend, the late and great Kobe Bryant was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, and his family was there on his behalf to accept the honor and participate in all of the events surrounding the induction. Prior to the official induction ceremony, Kobe and Vanessa’s eldest daughter Natalia was on hand to accept his Hall of Fame jacket. However, during the actual ceremony, some people noticed their younger daughters Bianka and Capri were present but not Natalia.

Vanessa later took to her Instagram to share that Natalia’s senior prom was the same night as the induction ceremony. She said, “Natalia almost missed her senior prom last night. When I was a senior in high school, Kobe and I were engaged and he had a playoff game the night of my prom. Kobe didn’t want me going to prom without him and I didn’t want to go without him.

When we heard Natalia’s prom night and Kobe’s Hall of Fame night were on the same night, I looked at Natalia and said, ‘well if it’s any consolation, daddy kept me from going to my prom, so it’s only right that he tried to keep you from going to yours.’” Vanessa continued to explain that after experiencing so much loss, she wanted Natalia to experience her once in a lifetime moment of going to her senior prom.

So Natalia was present to accept her father’s Hall of Fame jacket and flew home to attend her prom the following day.
