The past couple of weeks have seen Hamilton Lewis throws his mum a surprise 60th birthday party with pop star Jessie J singing at London bash enjoy himself at various parties and the newly-crowned F1 champion was celebrating once more, albeit this time for a loved one. Despite his global success in the motor racing world, Hamilton has always remained down to earth when it comes to his family – something he proved at the weekend.

 

 

 

 

The 30-year-old threw a surprise 60th birthday party for his mother, Carmen Larbalestier. Held in London, Hamilton released photos of the special occasion via his Instagram account, showing no expense was spared. ‘All for you mum,’ accompanied one caption of the venue, while in another the Mercedes driver wrote: ‘So much planning and hard work, all to surprise the most amazing woman in the world, and it was so worth it!! Love you Mum.

Hamilton returns to the F1 track this upcoming weekend with the action heading to Sao Paulo for the Brazilian Grand Prix.

 

 

The Stevenage-born star equalled Sir Jackie Stewart’s British record for winning three F1 world titles, with victory at the US Grand Prix last month in Texas. And speaking after the race, Hamilton admitted he’s developed a taste for the party lifestyle. ‘Until last year I didn’t really drink a lot. It’s changed a lot this year,’ he said. ‘You would be really proud if you knew how much I consumed. ‘The next couple of months is party time. I’ve got my mum’s 60th coming up, I’ve got friends’ events coming up, I’ve got more races to win, we’ve got the team end-of-year party, we’ve got Stars and Cars (a Mercedes event in Stuttgart). ‘Jeez, man, I’ve got to get some good sleep because there’s going to be a lot of partying.’
