Taylor Swift writes a touching story about mother’s cancer diagnosis

Taylor Swift has some sad news to share: Her mother, Andrea, has been diagnosed with cancer. The 25-year-old star published a post on her Tumblr, titled “Just so you know…”. Swift writes that she is sharing the news with her fans because, “It’s important and I’m used to sharing important events in my life with you,” and that, “This is something my family and I thought you should know about now.”

 

 

She writes that for Christmas, Swift asked her mom, as a gift, to “get screened for any health issues, just to ease some worries of mine.” Swift says there were no red flags and her mother “felt perfectly fine,” but agreed to get checked to get Swift and her brother to stop pestering her about it.
