The Denver Broncos’ franchise quarterback, Russell Wilson, is acquiring another asset ahead of next season: a puppy — Wilson and his wife Ciara’s latest addition to their $25 million home.
And it’s a girl! In a 19-second clip posted on her Instagram story, Ciara is holding their new dog cheerfully saying “We got a new puppy!” After Wilson asks “what’s its name?” is when the gender is revealed by Ciara.
She says, “Her name is Bronco.” The singer then encourages the brown-colored dog to say hi to the camera.
This isn’t the first time a Denver quarterback has named his puppy “Bronco.”
Tim Tebow used the same name for his Rhodesian Ridgeback after he was picked by the Broncos in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft.
Tebow went on to win a memorable playoff game with the Broncos but his time in Denver was cut short following the arrival of Peyton Manning in 2012.

Wilson, Ciara and “Bronco” will aim to have a much longer tenure in Denver than Tebow.
