‘My forever Valentine’: Vanessa Bryant shares a post for her late husband Kobe Bryant… two years after his shocking death

Vanessa Bryant shared a sweet memory on her Instagram on Tuesday with her late husband Kobe Bryant and referred to him as her ‘forever valentine’.

‘Happy Valentine’s Day, Baby. My Forever Valentine. ❤️ #AmoreMio #TiAmo #PerSempre,’ she captioned the picture, adding a few purple and yellow emoji hearts.

Vanessa and Kobe wed in April 2001 and went on to welcome four daughters together: Natalia, 19, Bianka, four, Capri, two, and Gianna.

It’s been just over two years since the January 26, 2020 helicopter crash that killed the iconic basketball player and their daughter, Gianna Bryant.

During Super Bowl LVI, the girl-mom honored the NBA legend and her daughter in a commercial that aired during the big game. This is Los Angeles,’ Vanessa said in the commercial.

‘The city of angels. Where iconic teams, where iconic moments and where icons have etched their place in the storybook of history. Where nothing is impossible without a lot of hard work and a little imagination.’

Vanessa was seated in the drivers seat of an old-school purple car, which was parked in front of a mural of Kobe and Gigi in downtown Los Angeles. ‘I couldn’t look at the mural next to me until we wrapped.

This city is special to me for so many reasons. It’s an honor to be a part of #ThisIsLA,’ Vanessa shared with her Instagram the Friday before the Super Bowl.

Vanessa has used her social platform to honor Kobe and Gigi and she even reposts murals around LA that fans share online.

She honored her late spouse at his induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in May 2021. ‘Dear Kobe, thank you for being the best husband and father you could possibly be,’ she during the ceremony.

‘Thank you for growing and learning from your own mistakes. Thank you for always trying to do better. Thank you for never giving up on us. Thank you for all of your hard work. Thank you for our family.

‘Thank you for our daughters. Natalia, Gianna, Bianca and Capri. Thank you for working so tirelessly to provide for us and for giving us the most amazing life together.’
