Michael Jackson death: What were Michael Jackson’s last words?

MICHAEL JACKSON died on June 25, 2009, just before his long residency at London’s O2 was set to begin – but what were his last words? Michael Jackson showed no signs of slowing down before his death. He had booked in to take part in a history-making residency at London’s O2 Arena, which would have seen him performing months of shows.

He was in rehearsals and had been performing a lot before his sudden death gripped the world. What were Michael Jackson’s last words? There were conflicting reports at the time of his death as to what Michael Jackson’s final words were. According to his doctor, Conrad Murray,

who was later convicted with involuntary manslaughter for his role in Michael’s death, the singer had two statements near the end of his death. Conrad had been issuing Michael with various drugs before his death, and his cause of death was named as acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication.

Propofol, according to Conrad, was nicknamed ‘milk’ by the singer, and so many reports suggested his final words were pleading for milk. To be exact, Conrad said the singer asked, as reported by the LA Times: “I’d like to have some milk. Please, please give me some milk so that I can sleep, because I know that this is all that really works for me.”

Propofol is an anaesthetic, nicknamed as such because of its opaque, milky appearance. According to the statement, Conrad was concerned by this, due to Michael’s busy rehearsal schedule. In response, Michael said: “Just make me sleep. Doesn’t matter what time I get up…

“I can’t function if I don’t sleep. They’ll have to cancel it. “And I don’t want them to cancel it, but they will have to cancel it.” According to the doctor who was the last person to see the singer before he was rushed to hospital, these were his final words.
