The biggest reality television program in Africa, Big Brother, has launched calls for entries for a brand-new special season that will premiere in 2022. A merger between Nigeria and South Africa has been announced via their Twitter handle. This will be the first of its kind in the world as organizers continue to strive towards making it a bigger brand.
The new season which has been tagged ‘Big Brother Titans’ is scheduled to hold sometime next year according to statements made by MultiChoice CEO, John Ugbe in 2021. He said, “Through the Titan housemates living together in one house, the great heritage of rich culture and skill shared by both countries will be brought to life.”
“I can only imagine the explosion of drama and intrigue that will ensue, so, imagine ‘Afrobeats’ meeting ‘Amapiano’; imagine the food and everything else that will be showcased; we think this will be quite exciting.”
“We are excited about the special big brother season, and we will reveal more details at the right time sometime next year. If you think you have got what it takes to be Biggie’s next reality TV star, this message is for you,” he said in the statement

Application is currently ongoing and to be eligible to apply for Big Brother Titan Season 1 Auditions, all applicants must satisfy the requirements given below.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must have a legitimate form of identity and be a citizen of South Africa or Nigeria, or a permanent resident of one of those countries as of October 30, 2022.
Applicants must be in a good physical and mental state.
Employees, officers, directors, and agents of the Broadcaster, the producers of the program, any sponsor of a contest or prize associated with it, and/or any of their respective licensees, assigns, parents, affiliated, and subsidiary companies, as well as immediate family (spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, or son, regardless of where they reside) or members of their same households (whether related or not) of such employees, officers, directors, and agents, are not permitted to participate in the contest.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old by October 30th, 2022.
The first round of auditions for Big Brother Titans concludes on Monday, October 24th, 2022, with the second round beginning on the 26th of October, 2022 and lasting until the 1st of November, 2022. The registration process for both auditions are the same.
