Everyone's Saying Same Thing About Joe Burrow On Wednesday

Shaquille O’Neal made headlines when he said that LSU women’s basketball star Angel Reese was the best athlete in the school’s history.

Reese certainly has a case after winning the school’s first women’s basketball national championship, but fans were eager to bring up other names. One of those names is Joe Burrow, who led LSU to a national title of his own in a Heisman-winning season for the ages.

“I didn’t watch Joe Burrow sling it on the entire country and not play a close game for you to say this,” one fan said.

Burrow dominated in his final year at LSU, leading the Tigers to the College Football Playoff and the national title. LSU went a perfect 15-0, playing in only three games where their margin of victory was seven points or less. Burrow won the Heisman trophy for his efforts that season, becoming only the second player in school history to win the award.

If Reese can continue the trajectory she’s been on, there’s certainly a case to be made for her as the LSU GOAT. As many fans have said, Joe Burrow has a pretty good case too.
