Division rival throws major shade at Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers fans won’t be happy after recent comments from an NFC North division rival.

Chicago Bears defensive lineman Justin Jones, a former third-round draft pick out of NC State, hasn’t been in the NFC North for very long — he joined the Bears ahead of the 2022 season after spending four years with the Los Angeles Chargers — but he’s already brought some drama to the division.

Jones made some disparaging comments about Packers fans on Tuesday that should add some fuel to the historic rivalry between the two franchises.

Jones told reporters on Tuesday that Packers fans are “really s—ty”. He also suggested that half of Green Bay fans “don’t even know football”.

Jones hasn’t been part of the Bears/Packers rivalry for very long so he might be surprised to learn that Chicago hasn’t beaten Green Bay since 2018.

But I’m willing to bet all Packers fans are aware of the team’s current winning streak against Chicago — even the half that “doesn’t know football”.

Maybe he is just trying to reignite the rivalry between the Bears and the Packers — that’s understandable as it’s been a while since the Chicago/Green Bay rivalry was competitive. But the best way Jones and the Bears can do that is by winning on the field, not by throwing jabs via the media in June.
