Vanessa Bryant was honored Saturday night for her commitment to children living in poverty at the annual Baby2Baby fundraising gala, with guests Jennifer Garner, Kate Hudson, Jessica Alba, Kerry Washington and Jeff Bezos.
Bryant wasn’t ready to speak to media but posed in a pink, feathered, sequin gown by designer Pamella Roland, standing next to her oldest daughter Natalia Diamante Bryant, also in a pink satin dress. Bryant was honored with the Giving Tree Award after supporting Baby2Baby for the past seven years.
Baby2Baby co-CEO Kelly Sawyer described Bryant as an inspirational woman and mom. “It’s not just to do it in the public eye, she really does do it behind the scenes. She’s come to our events, she volunteers, she gives financially. She’s done so much for us and so to be here tonight with her after all she’s gone through and after what the world has gone through is a special moment for everyone I think,” said Sawyer The starry night also included Adam Levine, model Camila Morrone, Nicole Richie, Ciara and comedic couple Leslie Mann and Judd Apatow.
Saturday’s event celebrated the organization’s 10th anniversary and raised funds for children living in poverty. Other attendees included Julie Bowen, Jordana Brewster, Mandy Moore and Lisa Ling. For over a a decade, Baby2Baby has distributed more than 200 million items to children in homeless shelters, domestic violence programs and foster care, as well as to other children who have lost everything in the wake of disasters
